Yes I know, I started this page of with only makeup posts but as the time evolved, this site did too. Which makes me write recipes for you. And I’m honestly here for it. I love food and it seems like you do too. So here we are with my first ever recipe post. If I missed anything, please don’t hesitate to ask me in the comments below or via instagram. But now let’s get into this pizza recipe.
What you need (2 Pizzas)
500 g spelt flour
250 ml water
half a cube of yeast
1 tbsp sugar or erythrit
1 tbsp salt
3 tbsp olive oil
1 fresh tomato
½ a can of tomatoes (however you like them, cut, whole tomatoes)
2 garlic cloves
little sugar (depending on the tomatoes you used)
Okay, let’s start with the dough. Which is super simple but the best I’ve ever made.
I always start with the yeast. Fill your water into a cup or bowl (should be lukewarm water) & put your yeast to it. I always like to use a small fork to be able to squash the yeast in the water. Let it sit for about 10 minutes.
In the meantime you can prepare the spelt flour. Put the sugar to the flour and give it a good mix. After the yeast has been sitting for 10 minutes, stir it one more time. Put a pit into your flour mix and fill it up with the water-yeast mixture.
Now start to mix your dough until you get an almost even texture (or until it isn’t able to mix anymore). Then get your other ingredients – the olive oil and salt. Mix the whole dough one more time with the mixer & than knead it very good with your hands until it’s nice and even. Give it a few punches or let it fall into the bowl before sitting it to rest for about 30 minutes. Don’t forget to put some flour underneath and onto the dough while resting. I always put a kitchen towel on top while resting.
Onto the cooking
Before starting the process make sure your oven is on 250 degrees and air circulation setting.
After your dough has rested for 30 minutes, split it into two, give it a little knead again and spread it into your form. For us it always is a baking plate (put some oil on the surface to make the dough not stick to it)
Now that the dough is ready to go, let’s prepare the tomato sauce, which is super easy. Basically you take all the ingredients, put them into a blender & spread half of it onto the pizza.
Your pizza is ready to be topped now with whatever you like on it. We always go for zucchini, champions, sometimes fresh tomato, corn & top it of with some shredded cheese.
It’s finally time for the pizza to go into the oven for about 10-15 minutes, always depends on how crispy you like the dough and cheese.
