Big news from Fenty beauty!
Rihanna came out with a new palette and as I saw the first image of it, I knew I needed to get it! I skipped the last launch, because her first palette didn’t really get me. And I actually think a lot of people had the same issue, because there were only glittery shades in the last palette. Now Rihanna and her team did a half matte, half shimmery palette and I think this was a pretty good idea. But I’m going into detail on the color range, pigmentation and all these things later on. Now I just wanted to let you know, that I didn’t do a review on the palette in the video, I did a full face using only fenty beauty products, because I feel, there’re already so many review on this palette out there. But I will give you my detailed thoughts on it in this blog post instead. Watch the video if you want to see how the products perform, and for details you can read the upcoming words. I hope it’s helpful!
Fenty Beauty Moroccan Spice Palette
I thought I start with the Morrocan Spice palette, as I think this is the one piece most of you are interested in. The fenty beauty morrocan spice palette comes with 16 long-wearing Moroccan-inspired shades ranging from matte to shimmer finishes. This makes it a really versatile. Going into the shadows, they’re richly pigmented, but, which for some of you is a no-no, they have a little bit of kickback. Especially the matte shadows. I find that normal and okay and have no problem with it. It normally gives a indicator for well pigmented eyeshadows. I personally would recommend started your routine with the eyes, if you’re going for a super bold and smokey look, just to prevent fall out. I did notice a little, but nothing major. Blending is really easy. In the video you can see I had a little issue with one of the shades, but I thought it was my eye at the moment. What it was. I did another look with the palette and didn’t notice any more problems coming up.
I would say, the fenty beauty moroccan spice palette is definitely a nice addition in your makeup collection. You can you from a every day look to smokey and sultry in minutes and work from straight matte looks over looks with a shimmery detail.
I was highly impressed by the shimmery shades, they applied stunning and outstanding without even using any setting spray or water.
Besides the new moroccan spice palette, Rihanna also came out with a liquid eyeliner. The liner claims to be water-resistant and highly pigmented as well as with its flex tip and triangle shape able for effortless use and saturated lines. And I must say, Fenty beauty definitely delivers what they promise. Not only is the packaging really sleek and lux, I as they say, like the triangle form for a good grip. Plus the tip is really easy to use, perfect for fine lines and precise finishes. Also it’s super black and I really had a hard time getting it of, but in a good way. It has a satin finish, which for me still works, although I like matte liners more. But the liner definitely is approved and if you’re still looking for a great felt tip liquid liner, this is a go from my side!
Lipsticks, Foundation, Contour & Highlight
To finish of this full face of Fenty beauty, I need to talk about the lipsticks, foundation and the highlighter.
First of all, I already did a detailed video on the Fenty beauty foundation when it came out a while ago. But since then I wore it a lot since I did this review. And my thoughts on it are still the same. I really like it. The foundation makes the skin look flawless and smooth. For dry skin it’s not really the right foundation to use. I like to mix in a lightweight foundation to make it easier to wear. But over all, it’s an amazing foundation.
Now to lipsticks come in two different formulas. She came out with a long wearing lip paint, which is only available in one – really stunning – shade. I love red and I think the red Rihanna picked, works for a variety of people and skin tones. And this is basically what Rihannas brand stands for I think. This is what I love about it as well. From a makeup artists view this is amazing as well. And the second formula is a matte one, which claims to be long wearing too. I only have a the exotic tangerine shade, called saw-c. And I do really like the formula and finish. You definitely need to go over it two or three times, which I don’t mind. It feels great on the lips and lasts quite a while. So to me both lipsticks are really easy to apply and wear and I would recommend them.
To finish of this post, the only thing left is the highlighter and the match sticks I used for contouring. The killawatt highlighter in metal moon to me is the perfect golden highlighter for light complexions. I really adore the color and finish. Nothing more to say! The match sticks to me are the only thing I’m not hype about. They definitely work and look beautiful, but I rather go for my two go to contour sticks from NYX Professional Makeup or Illamasqua.
But besides that, I’m quite impressed by all her products and by the whole Fenty beauty line. I’m excited for upcoming launches and will for sure try to get my hands on more lip products. I hope this post was helpful. If you have any more questions, make sure to leave them down below!
