Wow you guys, at has been a while. If you follow me on instagram you already know why. Cutting to the short story, I moved to Vienna. Plus I had an amazing week in LA, came back and I’m still moving haha. That’s basically why this sultry liner makeup look has been lying on my hard drive for almost a month now. I still liked the look after I didn’t see it for a few weeks. So I thought I just cut it and show you this (sorry for some self-love) kind of amazing looking sultry liner makeup tutorial.
Feeling The Sultry Liner Look
It’s so weird, that this video has been filmed in the old flat still in Salzburg and now I’m sitting here in Vienna cutting it. Looking at this look, still feeling pretty great about it. I guess it’s because this look is almost a classic look. Winged liner has been on the high for such a long time now. But of course I couldn’t resist and play a little with color. When I do that, it often results in something having to do with red. I’m already sorry about that. But if you recreate it, as for most of my looks, you can use any color.
I started this video of with an idea in my head of a really dramatic dark smokey colorful madness. Why I decided to do something completely different? Well, as you see in the video, I actually started the look, but the color didn’t do me good. The bright blue just didn’t stick to my skin. The pigment was looking great at first but while blending it almost peeled of my skin. So I started over and I think I’m actually happier about this look than I thought I would.
Doing a look for me almost always starts of with some kind of a idea, but most of the times I just drift in the opposite direction. Starting of with my base I sometimes feel something completely different than what I actually planed and I like to follow these feelings. Cause they actually make me really happy! It makes me happy, when I have a creative moment and just feel what I do. As a makeup artist I’m not always inspired, but when I am, I take it as a sign and just go for it.
No Guts, No Glory
That’s also how the idea from moving to Vienna started of and I’m glad we did it! It’s an amazing place and I’m so inspired and the feeling in my belly is so positive and I even feel that my mind is more open to a lot of things. I’m already excited what the life in Vienna will bring us and of course I will take you with me on this journey!
