A new category has arrived on the blog. New in is all about the products which find there place in my basket and following in my home. I buy a lot of things and also get a few things sent to me as pr. I test them and a lot of times they don’t really make it in any video or they’re starting to be favorites and you see them always. There are also things I really like and you never see them, as I only use them in my daily makeup. I wanted to change that and here we are. So today I’m going to talk about things I bought makeup wise.
New In: Makeup Newcomers & Rebuys
I was eyeballing with this foundation since a really long time now and I don’t know exactly why, but she finally made it into my basket. Now my skin isn’t the best lately which was a good thing to test out the coverage of the foundation, as it claims to be medium to full coverage. I tried to apply it with a brush and a sponge, because that’s what I usually do for me and for clients. Now that I’ve tried it a couple of times and worn it for 7 hours straight once I feel like I can give a good impression on how I like the foundation.
First and for most I appreciate the pump, I have when foundations have no pump. Also a plus is, that the shade actually matches quite good, although I matched myself online, which sometimes can get quite difficult. If you can, always match in a store and go outside in the light with a mirror and check if the foundation matches.
But now onto the foundation itself. It has a quite thick consistency when first applying it. But it sits on the skin beautiful and almost natural for being medium to full coverage. I would say it’s full coverage, but I guess it depends on what you’re used to.
I do really like the foundation. It looks good, lasts well and doesn’t feel uncomfortable over a longer amount of hours, which I do appreciate a lot.
Oh yes, finally! A product which I always see Nikki Makeup use on her clients and model – she loves Becca products and so do I. I thought I give it a go for the natural glowy skin days and for beauty shoots especially and after only using it twice I’m already thinking about getting more colors. The color I got is watermelon and is a really nice fall color more leaning into mauve.
Definitely a product I’m going to rebuy soon I guess.
When I was in London this year I finally got myself one product from Charlotte Tilbury. I was thinking about it already a hundred times. After that I went back online and also got the Flawless Finish Foundation and another Airbrush Powder. Which now again went into my basket, but this time I tried the medium shade. It suits more skin tones and isn’t as light as the light one, oh well. And I really prefer the medium so far.
This big shiny guy was sold out over and over again and I feel like it always is. I heard about it on Tati’s channel and wanted it so bad. Now I finally got it and it’s weird. haha I don’t know why, but it feels really weird at the first moment, but after it sets it’s a beautiful looking powder. It gives a really smooth finish.
I always wanted to try eyeshadows from Zoeva. I use their brushes since I started doing makeup 10 years ago. Plus I have and eyebrow palette which saves my live while jobs all the time, because of the big variety it gives. Now that I finally used the palette twice I want to give you a little review on it. The colors are well pigmented and smooth. I love that there are more than one transition shades and that matte shadows are combined with shimmers. It’s definitely a palette for fall, the colors are really nice. I feel like the shimmers apply way more pigmented when applied wet, but this is for most of the drugstore shimmers and I don’t mind activating them with setting spray. Other than that, this palette is a really nice addition to my personal kit, I would not take it with me for shoots just because of the colors, I normally go for something different.
